The Ultrasound Workshop is a two-hour, hands-on session designed for novice and more advanced clinicians. Techniques for identifying lower and upper extremity DVT will be covered in addition to the clinical approach for integrating point of care ultrasound into the patient with suspected DVT. Musculoskeletal ultrasound applications will include shoulder evaluation, hematoma blocks/reductions, tendon injuries, and evaluation for a suspected joint effusion. The workshop will expose participants to the latest ultrasound equipment, have a low student to instructor ratio and will use live models for a realistic training experience.
